La Liga dominates the shortlist for UEFA team of the Year

FIFA has now unveiled the UEFA shortlist of 40 players from which the UEFA team of the year will be chosen.

The list is heavily dominated by players which hail from La Liga, with 18 of them nominated for the team of the year. The list also features players from the Premier League, the Serie A and Bundesliga. 

Here are  the list of nominees:
